Diana Cole: Stained Glass Artist
and Photographer

Stained Glass Artist: Rhode Island
I began working in stained glass in the early 1980’s. While pursuing a career as a professional singer and voice teacher in the Boston area, I studied art privately and at the DeCordova Museum. Since moving to Warren, Rhode Island in 2011, I’ve picked up my soldering iron again and have been designing and fabricating Stained Glass focusing mainly on the copper foil method. I love the way color, through the medium of glass and light is always changing. My studio faces Southwest to the Warren River and each hanging panel transforms itself from morning to sunset.
Something is very old and magical about stained glass. Yet, so many new ways color, shape, density and texture can excite the eye and move us. To view my stained glass visit Made in Warren, an Artist’s Cooperative Store, 476 Main Street Warren, RI www.madeinwarren.com
Photography
As time goes by so quickly, why not steal a moment and relive it? That is what photography can do while also sharing a particular vision of what one sees. There are stories to be told and beauty to be seen in unexpected places. I am drawn to architecture that presents interesting angles, shapes, colors in an abstract way, and to people in all their peculiarity and unique environments. And there is so much of interest right here in and around the unassuming town of Warren to see through one’s individual “frame.”
